Mother's Day Special

It was a beautiful, breezy evening and as I sat on the verandah enjoying every touch of the wind and scribbled my stranded thoughts the edifying silence was interrupted by loud clatters from the kitchen. Mamma had entered her territory! Like a human tornado she whirled around the house looking for something that is probably right beneath her nose.

However cliched a warm mother's day wish or uploading an old beach photo with your mamma may sound, it sure is a wonderful feeling to celebrate crazy love. Memories still fresh on my mind, the first thought that crosses my mind is the day I turned 7. Mamma gifted me a set of quiz books and a Big Foot and kissed me a hundred times. It remains the best gift to this day because had it not been for those quiz books I would never have known the importance of the second Sunday of May.

King Solomon was extremely wise (that's so Solomon) in saying, "To everything there is a season." The times spent away from home haven't altered anything at all and I'm glad mamma has remained unchanged through all seasons. Her love, so tender on the inside yet strong on the outside like the best coconut has strengthened me autumn through spring. Her dedication, hard work and love for Jesus is what keeps everyone around her going. I'm excited to spend the rest of my life talking and sharing with you amma.

I'm even more thrilled to binge on the mother's day special supper. Off I go to prep up some dessert, cos I got it from my mamma!
